I've yet to have a problem, knock on wood, and am considering picking up a chain/ cable to run through my wheels just as a deterent. No cable is really gonna stop a pair of bolt cutters but at least someone can't just walk up and unbolt them with the spare 15mm they are carrying in their pocket. But, as previously noted, NEVER leave your bike locked up overnight on campus, or anywhere for that matter. I have hooks in my girlfriend's and my own ceiling to hang them out of the way in our small apartments. Her's stays out in the cold locked to a staircase. Muwahahahaha!! (Only because she doesnt care at all despite my concern and would rather have the interior space than the bike preservation.. And she knows that she has me to fix whatever goes wrong )
Yes, it was a joke. Just wanted to point out what a shame it is that every piece of your bike has to be locked down these days or you really run the risk of having it stolen and eBayed.
