Expensive jeans are nice too. I have 1 pair of Marc Jacobs jeans that I really love, and I am glad I paid the money I did for them. I can't compare the Levi's to these of course ... but they are each nice in their own way. I am not going to wear these jeans to some dingy dive bar, after all. Everything has a time and place, right?
Either pair though, I still wash the same way. I try to take good care of my (few) belongings. Like the thread talking about immaculate bikes ... why shouldn't we take good care of the things we love?
I love my jeans too, but maybe I like the "wore in" look, I dunno. I work in my jeans a lot, so maybe I'm just used to not getting attached.
Now that I think of it, the fist thing I do to all my jeans when new is wash them a bunch of times to soften them up.
One more thing, do you guys wash them when you buy them? Think of all the people, some like me who don't wear underwear, trying them on in the store. You take them home and wear them right away. Yeah, you try them on after everyone elses junk has touched them, but think of it this way; touch your junk to another mans junk for a few seconds. Its weird and gross, but imagine junk touches lasting six months. All your junk sweat, his junk sweat getting all friendly. Now think of your butt-holes touching too. Maybe after having mexican for lunch.
Disclaimer: I do not recommend, and do not myself, go around rubbing my genitals on other guys genitals. Just an example.
