I understood you didn't believe him. The facepalm is to the manager of the bike shop who says that.
If you get a better wheel than what yours is worth then you're ****ing over the "good shop." And regardless of what you end up with, after all is said and done the "bad shop" got your money for giving you the wrong product. And unless you do something about it they're going to get away with it. It's not even about the money, it's the principle. They need to own up to their mistake and fix it.
