I ran over a deer in my friend's Land Rover. Jumped across a lane of traffic and right infront of me. it went right under the wheels! Didn't stand a chance.

Stopped to check it was dead (and strap it to the bonnet) but the traffic was heavy and the road narrow (countryside A road) on a bend with trees and steep enbankments each side of the road.

We couldn't get near it to even clear it off the road out of the way of the traffic.
