The worst day cycling is still better than sitting isolated in traffic in a car. It was windy today--20mph steady with gusts more than that.
Normally I can't eat before I cycle, so I plod along. Someone told me that I should eat oatmeal an hour or 2 before cycling would help a lot. Boy, did it! I never realized I was subscribing to the "better cycling through bonking" school of thought. I made my usual 1+ hour ride in less than an hour today. SWEET!
Oh yeah--and it was a bit nippy-mid 40's.
