My only point was, trek (which owns GF) seems to be a bike that many people ride. So we shouldn't let our opinions of popularity drive our decision making, just ride what feels good. If it feels good, then do it.
My comment was more directed to what I thought you were implying about Trek being along the same lines as Huffy. I realize that Treks are *the* major brand of "real" bikes sold (as opposed to a Huffy which I don't consider as real). I'm not intending to be defaming towards you, just that comparing a Trek to a Huffy isn't, IMO a valid comparison.
I just get a little tired of people bashing Trek because they have such a huge market share (which is how I took your comment). BTW, I have ridden GF's in the past (borrowed friends, not my own) and have been fairly impressed, for the most part.
