Dremel tools; so true! I had an old 1996 Rockshox fork with a damaged dust seal, but the closest replacement seal I could get was for 1997 or something and it was too big. After about 45 minutes of dremelling I had reamed out the seating track in the top of the stanchion by about 1 mm and it fit perfectly.
