1. Grab one of your pedals and try to push it sideways relative to the frame. If you can feel any motion you probably have a bad bottom bracket. That's not a common problem on a year old bike but it's not unheard of either.

2. Since your brake squeak happens once per wheel revolution, you probably have a brake rotor that isn't quite true. Try to see where the rub occurs and gently tweak the rotor back into line.
