Bikes: Trek 7.3fx, Peugeot PX-10, Fuji Roubaix Pro ('04), Cannondale R600, Triumph Roadsters, Raleigh 20, Univega Nuovo Sport, Schwinn Sierra, Bianchi Osprey, Peugeot NS-22, Batavus Champion, Haro Pulse.

I've never heard of this brand, but the price is right:

Araya 23" -- $100

Raleigh -- not sure of the model -- $125

This is a nice bike, although it might be too big for a 6' rider:

could be a steal, depending upon how cheap you can get it for

Trek hybrid (looks fairly recent) -- $90

you get the idea. There are plenty of CL bikes in that price range in sizes that might work for a 6' rider--you never know how any given bike will fit until you try it out.

I'd take a minute to go to a bike shop and get fitted on a road bike and a hybrid/mtb--preferably on an old road bike if you can find a shop that has used bikes, as the geometry has changed. Then you'll have a general idea, at least.

After that, watch CL until you find something you like. You can figure out what the good brands are of the older road bikes pretty quickly by wading through the ebay/craigslist stickies and assorted postings in the C&V forum.
