I was in New Orleans recently and saw a guy flash by on one of those things. Didn't get a very good look, but the guy himself seemed pretty fit and serious, so maybe there's something to them. BTW, I did see a couple of bicycle cops who were on Raleighs.

Oh, and let me tell ya this: there's few words so groan/wince-worthy and over-applied as "tactical." It should be a warning bell.
