Today was exciting.

I left the house at the usual time, hearing thunder in the background. When I arrived at the trail, the lightening was beginning and it looked like a storm coming in. But I could see around the storm and it looked clear to the south, where I was traveling.

I decided that today was not the day for commute, so I headed home. I looked at the radar, and it appear the storm was moving around my county. I noticed there was no more lightening and it looked to be clearing.

I had plenty of time, so I went for it. I was quite anxious and kept looking at the storm building over my shoulder. I still thought I was ahead of the storm, and wouldn't get wet. Pedal on!

As I reached Iowa City, I could see lightening again. Very beautiful ground strikes, but they were further north than the start of my quest. But once I reach Iowa City, it is just 10 more minutes of riding.

I made it and was dry! Heavy rain started just 20 minutes later.
