I had an interesting... well not exactly confrontation, but situation, this morning.

I was riding to work just after daybreak so I had my daytime configuration of lighting: red blinkie in the back and white blinkie in the front.

As I was approaching an intersection in the right lane, an SUV passed me in the left lane, then half changed lanes/half made her right turn from the left lane. I think she cut someone off to jump into the left lane to pass me because someone honked at her as she made the turn. She wasn't close enough to me at any time for me to think she was right hooking me... at least not too bad.

I normally go straight there, but as all this was happening I noticed the light was yellow so I decided to signal and turn right there (either way is about the same distance on my route).

The SUV slowed way down and pulled over to the curb. I thought maybe she had some kind of car trouble so I moved to the left to go around her... but she didn't stop, she just paced me. I looked over with kind of a look on my face, then the SUV accelerated and pulled off.

It was only after a few seconds it dawned on me: SHE THOUGHT I WAS A COP AND WAS PULLING HER OVER! When she realized I wasn't, she took off.
