Freewheels are one of the cheapest components in existence, you can get new dicta or acs freewheels for under $10.
Shimano freewheels are better, but come in a limited number of sizes. If you wanna go cheap, go with a Dicta. I have 3 Dicta freewheels and they all work fine. I've been using one to ride offroad for 4 years and its still going strong though the teeth are starting to show wear.

I also have 2 ACS freewheels, and neither are very smooth or round..resulting in inconstant chain tension.
