today at work, a couple of "garbage men" that service my little 5,000 people town came in to order some food (ok, so i run a mcdonalds) and having a few extra minutes i asked them if they ever pick up "dead" bikes people throw away and if they do, could they clue me into when they collect them so maybe i could get dibs on parts, or to just start leaving them at my house or something. they said they do pick up old bikes all the time, but they have too much fun putting them in the CRUSHER to even concider my suggestion, as they both began to laugh and walk away.

i know the main guy for yreka transfer (the dumps) and he is hella cool and maybe he will let me save a few good bikes.

p.s. yeah... when the first guy said "we crush them", my inner child began to cry. it ws like dealing with adult versions of beavis and butthead.
