Success at last! But use Never-Seize...
I bought this 60s, oldstyle Campagnolo crank years and years ago for next to nothing because the drive side had the pedal spindle stuck in it. I tried many times with a pedal wrench but could never get it to budge. This morning I came across it looking for something else and decided to try one more time.
Stuck the spindle in the vice and pulled and pushed on the arm but it was frozen solid. Eventually got it to move the slightest bit, doused it with penetrating oil and began turning back and forth that tiny amount. Slowly got it to turn a little more and more, patience eventually got it off without hurting the threads at all.
Good save, they're even 175s; and I have the 151 rings to fit!
Always use some Never-Seize on those pedal and freewheel threads please... in 30 years someone will love you for it!
