I bought one from Peter last month - the DH-3N80 was out of stock, he did, however, have the DH-3N81 in stock as well as the Schmidt. My CR-18's are 26".
The 81 is supposed to be lighter than the 80 - from reading descriptions of it on a couple other websites - Shimano has the same service diagram for both hubs.
I like it, but I can only compare it to the sidewall dynamo that I had before - no more worries about the sidewall gen getting knocked out out alignment. You can feel a slight bit of resistance when starting off (even when the lights are turned off) that you don't with a normal hub.
I haven't had the chance to ride in heavy rain/sleet/snow yet to really appreciate the hub yet.
We are supposed to get a bit of winter weather tomorrow, can't wait to try it out. Might even have to mount the studs.
