63 miles here in Maryland. Started the ride around 1:30PM and it was light overcast with temps around 35F. Not as cold here as some of the others but still pretty cold and damp. I rode over the BWI Airport and then continued down the B&A trail to Annapolis and the waterfront. I saw a decent number of other rider and joggers out there braving the cold as well. I thought I dressed warm enough but found out later that wasn't quite the case.

With about 15miles to go it started to snow... light, wet snow and it surely didn't make the ride better. I kept slowing down and getting colder as the ride wore on. Good thing I had my lights because it got dark before I got home. I finally made it home, quickly stripped down, and jumped in the shower. The skin on my legs and stomach was pretty red and itchy from the cold. I had to get out of the shower and jump in the tub to warm back up. I felt better after a 10min. hot soak. Then on to the leftover chinese food.

It wasn't my hardest ride but not the easiest either. I just wanted to get some miles in so I was content to keep it to a medium intensity. I find it hard to go all out in the winter anyway.

Entire workout (147 watts):
Duration: 3:56:07 (4:05:41)
Work: 2071 kJ
TSS: 313.8 (intensity factor 0.896)
Norm Power: 179

Pw:HR: 9.29%
Pa:HR: 7.14%
Distance: 62.797 mi
Min Max Avg

Heart Rate: 100 196 162 bpm
Cadence: 29 209 80 rpm

Least I HTFU and got out there. Now we'll see if I can do it again tomorrow. If not I'll get on the rollers.
