Returned to cycling this year at age 39-first winter on the trainer. I bought a bunch of Spinervals dvds; I like them but I can't say boredome was not somewhat of a factor. I began on the trainer last week-working up to a 75 minute session on Saturday watching Manchester United v Sunderland, then 90 minutes on Sunday watching Arsenal v Wigan. Watching soccer matches works well for me because of the rolling clock-great for intervals. Soccer coaching is what I do in real life.
