Raleigh Record 12 speed

I just picked up a Raleigh Record. Thrift shop find, saw it last week in their pending area, they finally got it out on the sales floor this week. I paid a little too much for it, but I like Raleighs, and I've been thinking of "Porteurizing" a bike (not sure if this one will get the Porteur treatment). (and this is not a pricing thread)

It's a Raleigh of America bike, I think it has a 502 Main Tubing sticker on it, shifters are up on the stem. Frame size measured at around 57ctc on the seat tube and maybe 55ctc on the top tube. Tires are 27x1-1/4. Rims are alloy Weinmans Made in Belgium. Sidepull brakes, turkey wings up top as well. Handlebars appear to be alloy and have some Raleigh branding on them. Frame color is a sort of purple with some secondary color on the bike.

I'm going to guess it's a mid to late 80's, haven't looked at the s/n yet. I'll try to post pics tonight or tomorrow. It was snowing last night and I was in a loaner car and had to stuff the bike into the trunk, then had to get home and snowblow so I haven't had too much chance to get the details on the bike down yet.

Standover clearance is a tad tight for me on this, not sure what I'm going to do with it yet for certain. Not thrilled with the purple color, but the bike is in too nice of condition to mess with the paint. I do like Raleighs though so this will/might just hang around for sometime.

Does anyone have any links to catalog scans or component sheets for the Raleigh of America bikes? I haven't found any yet that match the bike. The RetroRaleigh pages at SheldonBrown don't seem to cover it, and I couldn't find a match at The Headbadge site either.

Thanks for any help.
