By your own standards, Ryan's misrepresented himself - Phoenix is a heck of a lot further from LA than McKeesport is from Pittsburgh.
That was months ago, and he's obviously learned from that.

I came across an ultimatum over the weekend. I had to make a decision of whether or not to drive part-way on the trip and I was very conflicted. My support car had to return to Los Angeles, and I was unprepared yet to go through the desert alone.
