Actually, I've ridden farther than Ryan. I rode 384 miles from McKees Rocks, near Pittsburgh, to DC. (I had a car assist of seven miles, which I don't include in my mileage count.) I'm 42, overweight, and have structural and health problems. I didn't beg for cameras, equipment, lodging or meals.* And I didn't call people names who criticized my planning or performance.
Please don't insult me by comparing me to this kid. I'm a doer.
* That said, I did accept lodging from Spinnaker on the first night.
