I think that frame did have a threaded BB at one time but someone probably screwed up the threads and wound up grinding them off and using one of those adapters. Zeus frames used to be have French threads: I bet someone tried to use a BSC threaded BB and messed up the threading.
Yeah, I thought the same. It's just totally weird to have such a smooth threadless BB shell in such a nice frame. It doesn't make sense. The actual shell is quite thin, which made me think that it had threads once and someone had machined them out. I wish I had known before I bought it. Oh well. If I sell it I wont get much for it beyond a beater price. sucks, Ah well? Sigh.....
