For a start, not too many people can bench their own weight. A guy at work reckons he can bench 110Kg, I laughed in his face.
I could at one point bench my own weight, and about the same weight I am now, but it took a lot of time in the gym. I do not build muscle easily, and for some reason it is even harder for my upper body. I remember in high school in PE I could barely bench anything but I could leg press more than anyone else in the class
