I can only imagine the phone call to the guys manager:

- "So, what did he do again?"

- "He said sidewalk"

- Um, ok. So what's the problem? Did he assault or threaten you?"

- He said "sidewalk."

- I'm sorry, sir. I don't see the problem."

- "But he said sidewalk!!!"

I was riding to work last month when a fireman in a parked fire truck yelled at me to use the bike lane. Well first I don't have to use the lane, and second the bike lane is clearly marked as one way the other way.

I suppose I could have contacted the fire chief. My middle finger worked just fine though. They're heroes after all.
