I tried running a biopace (had one sitting around) since Sheldon said that it's doable, and it worked fine for a couple weeks...until I dropped the chain in traffic and lost my faith in it. Maybe Sheldon never skipped, or used really small rings? Regardless, I wouldn't recommend it.
