Freddie Hoffman. Certainly Freddie fits the description to a 'T'. He's pretty amazing. With over a million miles ridden, he rides a Schwinn in sweatpants and a t-shirt with an average of over a century a day, every day. A brain injury at birth left him socially distant to most people, yet he raises almost $40,000.00 a year for charity with his riding.

I lived in New Jersey in the 1990s and yes that is a photo of Freddie Hoffman. I saw him quite a few times on the roads of central NJ. I had no idea who he was the first few times I saw him out on the road. One time we said hello at a red light stop. Later I learned of his incredible devotion to cycling and of the journeys he has made in life for the benefit of others.
