since fl is really generally flat in fla you can probly run the 52, personally i'm a weakling who is outta shape however i've currently running 42x16 for about 70gin... i haven't riden many long rides yet, but i'm thinking its not enough, especially if i go out in a group, but i had 48x17 on it at first and i couldn't keep up my cadence, now i can max at about 24mph for a short stretch, 20mph=100rpm, and my sr cranks came 42/52 but aesthetically i think my 42 looks fine, 44 or 46 might give me better gear inch though...
