Weather service is predicting the worst spell of "arctic weather" for Seattle in 15 years. Mind you, it doesn't really get that cold here (at least at sea level), so we're not used to it.

- Friday, I didn't commute by bike because of 40mph wind gusts and rain
- Yesterday, I had a very nice 20-mile-ride in 33 degree and mostly dry weather
- Today, I took off in 30 degree weather but came back home after a few miles because of scary black ice (a common Seattle problem in the winter - we don't get that much snow, but patches of black ice).
- Tomorrow I plan to commute, forecast at 7 a.m. is 21 degrees and winds of 17 mph, wind chill 15 mph.
