i've seen corimas sell for less than heds, mostly on ebay or private sales. some 3Cs and 'deeps' fetch a pretty penny, and there were recently a few (tubular) corimas in dubious condition that sold fairly cheaply. either way they're both lightweight and legimately aero if you're going fast enough, but susceptible to crosswinds as any aero wheel will be.
the spins are symmetrical, and questionably aero.
something like a hed jet or zipp 404 (or one of the knockoffs that are currently available) will be light and conventionally serviceable, unlike the monocoque style wheels. of course the older ones (zipp 440 and 1150 come to mind) are ten years old by now; the original zipps with the stressed-carbon structure might not be the safest wheels to ride.
