Shelby's are well known and popular with balloon tire collectors.
I have a 1955 shelby lightweight catalog which shows the traveler,the catalog was printed in england.That and the shape of the chainguard on the bikes pictured in the catalog would make me suspect the shelby lightweights were made in england by Hercules.
