Yeah i work at the Outdoor Program at the college, we take students all over (check out the rest of the gallery for some other trips we've done) and the cost for them is next to nothing. A 4 day kokopelli trip from a commercial outfit would cost like $300-400 per person and we did for like $85, not bad. The trip itself went really good even though it was the first time the program had ever done the trip.

However, you really need to make sure those that are coming on the trip are physically capable of riding 142miles, or are happy to ride in the van. Everyone needs to carry a light load but have plenty of snacks and water. People would hit the wall quite easily, though if you have a full 5 days to do it in it shouldn't be too bad. Also, if you're gunna goto Eddie McStiffs for food and drinks after the trip (highly recommended) they don't open until like 5 i think (or at least when i've been in moab). Make sure you have someone to ride up front, in the middle and rear as those in the rear will need help and encouragement (one area I failed as a leader since i had never ridden it i was always in the front and couldn't stand the stop-go pace of those in the rear).
