You're not giving up riding time, you're giving up free time. How you would use that free time should not, in my opinion, influence the decision. What is the advantage of the change? Is it worth giving up 10 hours a week of your free time as well as the additional expenses incurred by the commute (fuel, wear & tear on your vehicle, tolls, etc.)? Does it further your long-term goals? Looking at it as a Job = Less Riding seems to be leaving out most of the important factors of making the decision.
