When I looked at the bike by itself, I thought there was no way that anyone needed that much drop... then when I saw the picture of him riding it, I realized his back would be about flat if he was to ride in the drops... so it really is where he should be.
He looks really comfortable riding on the hoods.
Now based on the pictures I see of fixies, I guess all the fixie hipsters must be tall people with long arms and legs.
