Actually, he is pretty straightforward with who he is and what he wants to do. He might be able to undercut calfee as well, though the quality of his work is unknown. Myself, my carbon fiber frame hasn't broken on me yet, so I have no need for this service at this time.
There's a reason Calfee is the only major source of CF repair and that's because it's tricky. I know how to do repairs on boats but I would never think of trying to repair someone's bike. I've seen what looks like small damage to a boat hull and turned out as major when examined by experts. You want someone very experienced to fix that supports you doing 40 mph.
