I had been told the same thing. It seemed an odd statement, counter intuitive, and not what I have experienced.

I wonder if it is not a marketing gimmick? How many new fitness center users would return if they were told that they have to get the HR into the 80-85% zone. I am sure there are studies on both sides of the argument. Kind of like "global warming." Oops, sorry, going off-topic.
I guess so long as you do any exercise it is better than none.
And, for what it's worth, I have never been able to learn anything from someone who calls me "clueless" especially if they are not willing to back it up with proof.
I appreciate your OP. As one who struggles with extra lbs, it's helpful.
