Maybe salvage the brooks and handlebars for your new bike and find some cheaper alternatives for the schwinn. Now either keep it or sell it. My friend sold his world sport conversion with crappy paint, crappy wheels, crappy seat and bars for $300. I'm sure you can get a lot more. I have an 89 world sport with a kilo TT on the way and I'm planning on turning it into a cruiser of sorts.
well everyone will go into a kilo tt frameset except yes the seatpost and stem, but that is all I would buy and it would be good, and yes I would keep this and do what you suggested, that is a very good idea, I was thinking about that.
