Just checked and the WeatherBug on the computer says it’s 1 degree with a wind chill of - 25. So in the finest tradition of my European ancestors, that dates back several thousand years: I’m staying in and staying warm celebrating the beginning of “Yule” … sadly I don’t have a fireplace to burn a huge Yule log in, but I have the gas furnace to keep me warm, and I don‘t have a live evergreen tree, but I do have a plastic one with fiber optic lights on it... The winter solstice has began and soon the daylight hours will be getting longer, as the Sun begins to make it’s way back up over the Northern Hemisphere, it is a time of celebration.
But, to get back on subject… I could be paid to go out on a bike ride today, I guess, but it would have to be extremely high pay.
I do envy you Tom in that you may get a chance to see Moscow Russia, I would love to be able to travel there someday for a visit, let alone live there for a time. It sounds like an exciting time, and a way to step far outside one’s comfort zone.
