yeah, if you order them, order from peter white.
I plan on building up a set of wheels with phils
low-flange track rear hub / road front hub
and then order just one pitlock for the front.
I believe a single pitlock is 54 bucks or so.
can you switch out the axels for hollow ones? I believe this has been discussed
here in the past, but I forget the answer and have never done it myself.
edit: anyone else think it's silly that they sell only a seat post collar lock
but no lock for the saddle/top of the seatpost bolt? I dont know why they dont
do both.
I did the same thing, use a phil road/lf track hub with the QR axle for the front, but I actually swapped the axle from a HF track hub to the road hub, so I have a HF track hub with a QR axle, pretty sweet.
Most track hub solid axles can be swapped with shorted hollow axles for very little money, 5-10 bucks or so, which would allow someone to run the regular skewer pitlocks, Ive done it many times. This would be the ideal solution methinks, and even a full set of pitlocks, i.e. front axle, seatpost collar and stem lock would be cheaper than having to buy a new front wheel.
