actual oven mitts or just really big mittens? I've used an early road version of
www.trails-edge.com pogies (they call them moose mits) and they were really warm. It was about 20 degrees out and i was wearing thicker gloves, and they were actually a bit too warm. A pair of thinner gloves matched with them would be perfect. They have plenty of room for shifting and putting your hands in just about any positions.
