Bikes: Road, MTB, Folding, Commuting bikes...

I have a 2" hitch receiver on both my Jeeps and want a bike carrier that can carry up to 4 bikes. I looked @ Wally World, Target, Bike Barn, etc..

Are the dept store bike carries good or is there really a reason the ones at my LBS cost more than double for the same pieces of steel? Anyone have suggestions on brands?
