Campagnolo Syncro 2 question re: chain, etc.

I am trying to get my Campy Syncro 2 to work as well as it can. I'm about to install a Regina Synchro 90 freewheel that appears to be NOS. I'm using a Campy C Record 2nd generation RD. My Syncro 2 levers have a blue insert. I figured I would get a new chain to use with the new freewheel. What chain would you recommend? Would a SRAM PC-58 work?

I'm currently using a Regina America freewheel and a Sachs chain. It works OK, but the chain routinely skates on top of the next to largest cog. The chain does this even when I switch to a Suntour Winner freewheel. It also tries to skip certain cogs unless I shift it just right. These issues inspired me to get the Synchro 90 and a new chain to fine tune the drivetrain. It's my understanding that the Synchro 90 freewheel was made to be compatible with the Synchro 2.

Thanks in advance for your comments,
Matt
