Man, things don't always work out the way you think they will. Like today. A friend calls me from the vintage bike ride group, and says he's broke, and offers me a sweet condition GT Force road bike, complete with functional brifters, and excellent paint. I get there, the paint is phenomenal and it looks great aside from a good cleaning. I pay my money and drive home. Well, no one throws out a perfectly good road bike, when it's this new. I got home, and in the dead center of the lower head tube, is 1 1/2" crack. I call him and explain the deal. He was apologetic and offers $50 back and I keep the bike. (I paid $70) $20 for a bunch of parts, RSX though. I still can't complain, and I may yet try to get the crack repaired someday and build it up.,,,,BD
