I would not ride a bike without cycling shorts... due to the pain issue from not having the padding. I would not start with CO2 but a good foldable floor pump for the bike. Other than that get what you can afford and then add to that... that is what I did. I started with shorts and a jersey, then a better pump then a saddle bag then... goes on and on...
