I have a Camelbak Mule that I thought was just a tad too small for what I like to carry, so decided to get something bigger last year. By coincidence there were a couple of "What Camelbak should I get?" threads going on and He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named mentioned he used and liked Deuters.

I got one and couldn't be happier. I got the Hydro Exp 12 model. I don't remember how much I paid but it was comparable in price to a Camelbak. I think I got it off Ebay.

I do prefer the Camelbak bladder over the one that comes with the Deuter but that's easy to swap in. I like the little details that are in the bag like a clip for the hose, a pump pocket, hip pockets, etc.
