Quite a statement. Maybe yours never needed warranty service. Ever go to a busy Toyota dealer and see hundreds of cars in the service department? Think they're all there for oil changes?
I'm not going to say they don't have a good reputation, but they are machines and machines need service.
People get very emotional over cars. I've owned a Toyota, put 60K miles on it. It was O.K. Not the best car I've had, it had some failures and some design problems. It was a car, after all.
I have a P.O.S. S10 Blazer with 225K miles on it. It has been cheaper to run and maintain then most of the cars I've had, including that Toyota.
