I bought a pair of christophe straps at the LBS 6 months ago for $10. Killer straps, no slippage they have been ridden in the rain, I do skid here and there and they are really reliable straps.

My advice is do not waste your money on expensive straps. They are all the damn same, I have ridden in toshi's and there is not difference from them to my $10 straps.
