And it may make sense
if it means that you can ride a bike that is light enough to make up for some of the weight of the trailer. If you drop 5 pounds of bike and a couple pounds of racks the weight penalty for the Extrawheel is down to 3 pounds.
I have to think it would be possible to make a trailer that weighed enough less that it would break even or have a weight advantage when used with a light bike.
