I would be careful with damaged Al or CF and make sure you or the repair person knows what they are doing. I had a damaged Al frame that looked fine until someone more knowledgable than I showed me little fine lines on the head tube paint. The head tube had been compressed and was weak. The repair cost wasn't worth it since it was about the same as a new frame

I've worked with CF on boats. Just replacing the obviously damaged fibers often isn't enough. The area immediate to the damage can be weakened but not noticeable to someone without experience. I
