Just because something is made in China doesn't mean it is poor quality.
China has many, many contract manufacturers who will make anything you want. They are in this position because they have the cheapest labor, so if you want something cheap you get it made there. If you want something built well, you can also find a manufacturer who will build this for you, it takes a lot of research to find the right manufacturer for a particular set of needs.
I would bet that no-one on this board would be buying enough parts for any of those companies listed above to be interested on them.
