I think I'd have been tempted to just cycle on (course it might have meant another 30 miles, who knows?). I'm not sure I'd have scaled a fence without permission unless it was an emergency..... Hey, and wasn't there a previous forum post where it was stated Texas law allows you to shoot anyone on your property or take their stuff or something? (might be an exaggeration there, but it was something like that).

Reminds me of the time when I was touring across Germany which is pretty densely populated, and there was nary a sight of a campsite or sheltered place anywhere..... and then there was a sudden ray of light that illuminated a field that had the only clump of trees that could be seen for miles around.....
